Journey Itinerary

Day 1
The journey begins based on your arrival time in Pangkalan Bun, with pickup from the airport or hotel and transfer to Kumai port to board the klotok. The trip continues along the Sekonyer River surrounded by tropical rainforest. During the journey, lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, continue to Tanjung Harapan to see the orangutan feeding session around 15.00, along with an introduction to conservation from the guide. The day ends with an overnight stay on the klotok with simple facilities such as a mattress, pillow, and mosquito net, along with dinner on board.
Day 2
The day begins with breakfast on board while enjoying the calm morning atmosphere along the Sekonyer River, often covered with light mist. The journey continues to Pondok Tanggui to see the orangutan feeding, known as one of the best spots to observe orangutans at a close distance, along with other wildlife such as birds and monkeys. After that, the trip continues by klotok at a relaxed pace, with lunch served on board while passing through the river and offering chances to spot proboscis monkeys and dense tropical vegetation. In the late afternoon to evening, enjoy the sunset from the klotok as the river turns golden, followed by dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Day 3
The day begins with breakfast on board, then continues with the journey to Camp Leakey, the oldest and most well-known orangutan rehabilitation center. Upon arrival, we do a light trek into the forest to follow the orangutan feeding process, which is often attended by adult orangutans or those that have lived in the wild for a long time, with an atmosphere that feels more natural compared to previous locations. Midday is used as free time to enjoy the forest, take photos, or simply experience the natural surroundings. In the late afternoon to evening, return to the klotok for dinner and rest in a quiet atmosphere, far from the crowds.
Day 4
The day begins with breakfast on board while slowly cruising along the river at a relaxed pace to enjoy the natural rhythm. The journey continues with more flexible time at several quieter spots along the Sekonyer River. There are several activity options such as photography, forest exploration, light trekking, or simply relaxing on the klotok. In the afternoon, enjoy the river journey and continue with the last dinner on board as a closing moment of the experience in nature.
Day 5
Enjoy a relaxed morning on the klotok while taking in the final atmosphere of the rainforest in Tanjung Puting National Park. The journey continues back along the Sekonyer River toward Kumai, adjusted to your flight schedule. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or hotel in Pangkalan Bun. The trip ends.
